TRANSFORM YOUR DRIVE
Engineered by FOX to match your vehicle, the 2.5 Performance Series shocks deliver a smoother, more controlled ride — from hauling heavy loads during the week to tackling rugged trails on the weekend.
WHAT MAKES THE FOX 2.5" SHOCKS DIFFERENT?
BIGGER DIAMETER. FOR BIGGER CAPACITY.
Big shocks can handle harder work, while staying cooler, for longer. The 2.5-inch aluminum shock bodies have 23% more surface area compared to a 2.0-inch body, allowing more heat to dissipate more quickly. This keeps the temperature of the shock oil in check and helps minimize shock fade during long days on rough trails.
HYDRAULIC TOP OUT
Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) is the latest in position-sensitive damping technology from FOX, utilizing trickle down technology from our internal bypass Factory Race series shocks, but in a more simplified design.
GREATER DURABILITY. MADE SIMPLE.
2.5 Performance Series shocks are designed with trickle-down technology from Performance Elite Series. A more robust monotube utilizes upgraded internals, without including unnecessary features. We built 2.5 Performance Series shocks with an OEM-inspired seal pack, a threaded bearing cap, and an aluminum internal floating piston. This simple shock architecture means greater durability and long-term reliability, without the hassle.
APPLICATION SPECIFIC TUNING
2.5 Performance Series are tailored specifically to the vehicle you drive. FOX Ride Engineers spend considerable time with each application to evaluate the ride, optimize valving and validate performance both on and off-road.
Custom shock valving provides the driver with superior on-road comfort in all load conditions while retaining damping capacity off-road. A composed vehicle body inspires driver confidence, letting drivers push faster through low-speed bumps and washboard roads.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Fox shocks use high-performance damping technology, superior materials, and precision engineering to deliver better control, stability, and comfort than factory suspension components.
American trucks and 4x4s are often heavier and taller than local models, so aftermarket shocks help manage weight, improve stability, and handle Australia’s rough terrain far better than factory units.
Fox shocks provide improved ride quality, enhanced control, better heat dissipation, stronger off-road capability, and increased durability compared to standard suspension.
A Fox steering damper reduces steering wobble, bump steer, and vibration, improving straight-line stability and driving confidence—especially on lifted or heavy American trucks.
Lifted vehicles change suspension geometry, which can cause steering instability. A Fox steering damper restores balance, reduces shimmy, and improves overall driving behaviour.
Yes. Fox shocks offer a smooth, controlled ride on-road while still providing the performance needed for off-road use.
Absolutely. Fox shocks improve load stability, reduce sway, and maintain consistent damping, making them excellent for towing caravans, boats, and trailers.
Most Fox shocks are low-maintenance, but high-performance or rebuildable models may require periodic servicing for optimal performance.
Many Fox shock models are fully rebuildable, allowing seals, oil, and internal components to be replaced for long-term performance.
Yes. Fox shocks are designed for demanding conditions and provide better traction, improved wheel control, and superior heat resistance on rough terrain.
Yes. Fox designs shocks and steering dampers specifically to suit lifted American trucks and 4x4s, ensuring proper travel, damping, and alignment.
With normal use, Fox shocks can last many years, and rebuildable models can be maintained indefinitely with proper servicing.
Under Australian Consumer Law, your warranty cannot be denied unless the aftermarket shock directly causes a failure. Fox products are safe and widely used across the industry.
